TA for the design and implementation of Common Central American Policies (ADAPCCA)

The overall objective of the project was to contribute to the strengthening of the economic integration process in Central America, with the specific objective of assisting the establishment of the basis for carrying out actions and processes that lead to the design, adoption and implementation of common policies, to foster economic regional integration.
The TA contract contributed to the operation, consolidation and evolution of the Central American customs union.

In this context, the TA contract aimed to achieve tangible improvements in the following areas: common tariff policy, tax policy harmonisation, trade policy design at regional level, leveling national phitosanitary controls and measures and common approach to technical barriers to trade management.
