Supply of services to Ecuadorian SMEs and realisation of studies in the framework of Expoecuador – Lot 3

This service contract assisted main Ecuadorian economic sectors in the framework of the  in the form of studies on a variety of issues related to the Expoecuador Project.
The project’s activities  aimed to collect adequate market research and undertake sectoral studies adapted to the needs of those companies with greater export potential, and therefore, greater impact on the Ecuadorian economy; to strengthen national associations and guilds in order to foster a greater penetration of their members in the EU and CAN markets; and to promote a more active participation of the Ecuadorian institutions in international trade fora, making the most out of the advantages offered therein.


The studies dealt specifically with:


  • Institutional strengthening of private sector associations (guilds) and strategic marketing studies
  • Sector associations and cluster development
  • Macroeconomic context studies and international trade analyses


The priority sectors favoured by these studies will be in areas already identified as benefiting from exporting potential: tourism, flowers, fish and aquaculture, prepared foodstuffs, cocoa, coffee, fruit, fresh vegetables, bananas and plantains, wood and manufactured timber products, software and textiles.
